Collectibles Can Be Costly!

Sold some LT holdings in SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) and almost missed the question applying to capital gain on "collectibles", even though I was aware of it. I doubt very many think of buying shares in an ETF like GLD as "collecting". Recommend more prominent display of this tax bite.

The program is very easy to use. It helped me get through some difficult areas like estate and trust distributions.
What's great about it: Very easy to use. Yery good guide
What's not so great: Didn't qualify for a refund
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Turbo tax was simple and easy to use. I was able to input all my values accurartely for the most optimal refund. Even better, I learned a lot about taxes through this program and will use it again.

I would like to see a report of the MARGINAL tax percentage as well as the overall percent tax paid. It would be easy for you to do and would be of eye opening interest to taxpayers!

Hard to figure out how to get updated forms but I figured it out after a whale.

What's not so great: Hard to go back to a specific line to fix it.

As a retired CPA I could do my tax return manually but I prefer TurboTax because it's easy to use and I know the math will be right. If I forget a deduction or credit, TurboTax will remind of it. It's a great product.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Delay in 2014 getting the sales tax calculation
