why did the return have to be mailed?
I have used Turbo Tax but this version prevented E-file. with no hope of waiting and fixing.

purpose of turbotax is to be able to efile. msg kept saying install updates; each time i did still came back as trans failed.

Easy to Do Taxes

I have used this product before. It is easy to use, directions are very clear. I had a technical question about a 1099R. Got the answer right away with a great explanation - no double talk - just the facts. That alone was worth the price of the product.
What's great about it: Was very easy. My questions were answered within a few minutes.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TurboTax for several years now, trust the product and the results. It's reassuring to know that I don't need to fear tax time, even though, as an older adult, I now make a few more mistakes in life. TurboTax does an excellent job of reviewing my information for any possible errors. I had one issue. On a more obscure work sheet having to do with foreign dividends, I thought the directions needed to be more clear.
What's great about it: Most of the directions are very clear and the step by step process makes sense. I appreciate all the double checks.
What's not so great: Wanted an alert when I didn't initially ask to bring info. from previous year into new return.

The 1099-B worksheet had a lot of difficulty getting the information to the right places on the related forms.

What's not so great: Terrible experience with Cap Gains WS, 1099-B WS, Sched D, Form 8949.

Ever since the VP of a CPA firm screwed up my tax return I've done it myself. sometimes its by the seat of my pants - but thanks to TurboTax I get through!!
What's great about it: Walks me through the return; asks questions; shows errors
What's not so great: hard to see whole picture
