Expensive

You really should give people a price break when they are returning customers.
What's great about it: Easy to use and thorough
What's not so great: Expensive, especially if you have multiple states and efile.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

WOULD RECOMMEND THIS ITEM TO ANYONE WHO DOES TAXES AND HAS A BRAIN TO USE....MAKES ALL THE HARD WORK SO EASY, JUST DO IT AND YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT.....
What's great about it: WISH TURBO TAX HAD BEEN AROUND YEARS AGO...
What's not so great: NONE!!!!!!

Great program...some of it is difficult to understand yet, asks alot of questions and the help page is pretty clear

Last year's Deluxe version provided free filing of State Return; this year's did not -- If I had read the "fine print" on the box, I would not have purchased it!
What's great about it: Listing of last year's numbers at point of entering this year's was helpful,
What's not so great: Instructionss for handling 1099B inadequate -- you tried to sell me another version (Premium instead of Deluxe); AND
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Married Filling Separate / W2

1)-Turbo Tax does not have a MFJ work sheet. Why not? I have to do three returns before I can see which is more advantageous, and even at that I still have to tweak the returns deductions to get the most amount back , from Fed and State (Ohio).
2)-When you ask for this years W2 info(box "d", "b",and box 1) to see if it can be down loaded, you do not ask for specific employer when there are more than one W2.

I love turbo tax

This is the quick efficient way to deal with the yearly income tax day. Turbo tax is full of helpful hints and suggestions, The Turbo Tax progression walks you right through the process giving you confidence and exploring all the possible tax credits available.
What's great about it: This is the best deal since sliced bread was introduced

Fast and Easy to use

All in all, this is a great product. Very easy to use with quick explanations on what each deduction is and whether you qualify for them. I've been doing my own taxes for years and only tried this product this year. It actually found me a larger return than I normally have. Very Cool :)
What's great about it: easy to use, asked all the questions with easy access to extra info when needed. found me several extras I missed
What's not so great: Only con is that the state efile doesn't tell you up front that it charges. I had to backtrack to undo it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

NY Taxes are tough unless you use TurboTax!
