The software does save time however, the total costs for state software and e-file is way over priced!

Great, But...

Because I changed computers from the 2012 filing, TT would NOT accept any info from the files provided through copy and paste from the other computer. Also, TT called my tax refund from the state last year estimated taxes paid and gave an extremely HIGH state refund until I drilled down and found the mistake--erased the amount on the federal form and typed in "0". This could be fixed by allowing TT to import from a PDF copied from last year's return.
What's great about it: Good job of finding hard-to-find deductions and details
What's not so great: Difficult to correct mistakes in the "override" mode

We have used TurboTax for many years. Prior too that we went to a tax accountent. When she retired we swiched.

What's great about it: It is easy to use. We used step by step.
What's not so great: I was in a loop that was not explained and difficult to end.

TurboTax is user friendly, is easy to use and I love the fact I can use it year after year. The import features and questions, ability to get guidance and help is wonderful. Additionally, the side by side yearly comparisons helps you see if you missed something or change information for accurate reporting.
What's great about it: The ease of the tool
What's not so great: Nothing!

Again this year, Turbo Tax made tax preparation almost pain-free. Still had to get my paperwork in order. Once that was done, going through the process with Turbo Tax was easy.
What's great about it: Ease of use and completeness
What's not so great: Created estimated tax vouchers for next year; do not need them

Very Quick and Easy

Very good software that helps regular people get the dreaded files done with confidence.
What's great about it: Good navigation. 1 or 2 questions usually to justify deductions (or not).
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Harder this year

I think it was harder this year and the instruction were not as easy to follow... I am not very comfortable with the results this year and think mistakes may have been made and not caught.

Completed Returns Quickly

Great program. If one has their information together it is pretty simple to enter required information.
What's great about it: Walks through & explains each step. Easy to move through questions and answers.
What's not so great: Can't think of any.
