Need to Close

This is my third use of turbo tax and I like the way it is organized. The first year I did it just like I would be doing the taxes by myself instead of following your plan and I wound up with a lot of duplicate entries. Since then I have followed your guidelines. When I finished my final draft I got a message that the IRS was still working on their forms so I was put on hold for about ten days. My son, who is proficient on the computer, guided my past the delay and e-filed my taxes. I still don't understand the reason for the delay in my filing.
What's great about it: well organized
What's not so great: unexplained delays

I thought the process was the fastest I've seen. I think I could have done this correctly in one evening, next time I will have my material better organized. Thanks for the good work and definitely will see you next year.

All good with one exception

I inadvertently typed an extra 9 when entering one of my W-2's making my wife's Medicare wages $199,000 instead of $19,000. All the other wage boxes were the correct amount. Error check didn't catch this! I found it when I discovered we were being charged $280 for extra Medicare taxes. That kind of glaring error should have been detected.
What's great about it: I couldn't have done it without TurboTax

Great Software - Easy to Use

I have confidence that I am preparing our taxes correctly and getting every deduction possible. I got stuck last year, though, and could not figure out where I made the mistake. So I contacted someone in TurboTax's online support group and she went through my return until she found the mistake I made - SO GREAT!
Love that the program scans for mistakes and then give me an "Audit Risk" analysis. WHEW! Plus they have links every step of the way if you need to get more information about a particular deduction or item.
All in all - great software - I plan on using it every year.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions with additional information as needed for peace of mind
What's not so great: Have not been able to piggy back off previous year's returns (also done with TurboTax) for the last two years - argh.
