Lost Without TurboTax

I've used TurboTax for several years. It is easy to use; very intuitive. I particularly like the interview style which covers every topic quite satisfactorily for my income sources and tax liabilities. TurboTax will definitely be my tax preparation software for future years.
What's great about it: Comprehensive, easy to use

reasonably complete, a few details are murky

Most of the items are pretty self explanitory but there are a few things that the program could do better.
-entering S-corp data has some issues after the main k-1 form for non-resident state income and taxes paid
-why cant the help items have a hyperlik to the IRS site and the appropriate publication to let you read more without having to search independantly
What's great about it: easy to determine what to enter where generally, i like the rollover from previous years it saves a lot of time
What's not so great: retired clergy housing exclusion completely missed, can't enter more than 3 other states from K-1 form

sale of primary home
on March 27, 2014

In the section regarding sale of your primary residence, TurboTax prompts you for all sales and purchase information, followed by question of how long you lived in your house. This question should be first in this section. The next question should be whether it is possible that you had a 500K or greater profit on the sale after all costs are deducted. THEN, based on these replies, TurboTax can take you through all the prompts regarding sales price, costs, basis, and improvements, etc. I'm guessing the vast majority of homeowners wouldn't need to go through the cost itemization.
What's not so great: section should start with the questions that were posed last

need to work on getting the software to deduct suspended PTP losses when the PTP units are sold. See 1065 and publicly traded partnership rules.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: may not cover complex issues
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Excited for a decent refund!

I have using Turbo Tax for about 10 years now and it has never done me wrong. The explanations concerning some items do refer you to the IRS website, which is as exciting as watching mud dry. Overall, I wouldn't change my mind because of everything Turbo Tax does do well for me personally. I will continue to use and trust the product to help every year during tax time.
The only dislike I have is the fee for efiling my state return; it is rather steep to send everything digitally.
What's great about it: Easy to use, self explanatory, guided tours, accuracy checker
What's not so great: short explanations for some items, fee for state tax efile
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I used H&R Tax Break last year - big mistake. Frustrating experience all around. This year I came back to Turbo Tax and (as always) it was quick, easy, guided me through all the complicated topics, was accurate and got me the best refund. I am on Turbo Tax for life
What's great about it: Guides you easily through the process
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
