Simple

Easy to follow, easy import and very accurate. But, following the prompts, I managed to print 2 copies of the return wasting a lot of paper. Will have to be more alert next year.
What's great about it: Info import
What's not so great: Lots of printing

I always procrastinate to file my taxes, but then when I finally sit down and enter the data, I realize how foolish I am to wait. The software is simple and straight forward to use and follow. It guides you line by line to make sure you enter all the necessary data.
What's great about it: Quick, easy, step by step directions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Spirited my return

I like how the program looked all area of the return and asked questions to insure I used all available deductions. Plus the review process double checked my deductions. I am satisfied with TurboTax. Will use it again for my 2014 return.
What's great about it: The return questions generated great insite into understanding the tax laws..
What's not so great: Tax return updates did not download till I was into the review process. This means I had to return to those areas.

Don't understand why we have to pay to file state returns. Federal is free, why isn't state free?? You make your money off the sale of the software?!?!?!
What's great about it: Getting a refund
What's not so great: Pension info for the state is confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Non-cash Charitable Donations
on March 27, 2014
Posted by: Pokernut
Turbo Tax requires a specific date for each non-cash donation. This causes us a lot of difficulty. Our Church has a monthly food collection and a monthly collection for new baby items (clothes, blankets, disposable diapers, baby soap, etc.) In addition there are special collections for non-cash items at Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. So there are, at a minimum 15 different dates, most of which list the same items.
In addition we donate non-cash items to several other charities more than once a year.
Can you have an option to have "Various" instead of a specific date or have the number of times a year non-cash items were donated to a specific charity.

Taxes made Easy

Turbo Tax makes doing your taxes as simple as possible. You are stepped through everything (if that is what you want to do) with explanations or help throughout the entire process. You have a feeling of security knowing who is behind the product and that your information is secure.
What's great about it: steps you through easily
What's not so great: I actually had to do my taxes... :)

This is my third year using Turbotax and I will definitely be using it in the years to come as well. They make it easy, and I am really happy with how they check everything.
What's great about it: It was simple, easy, and they check everything
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Nothing but Turbo Tax

I have never used anything except Turbo Tax. I can't imagine any other software being better than Turbo Tax. Even for people who are not accountant types or tax experienced, can get enough information to file taxes. The help files are thorough, and the help center is useful.
I thought in previous versions, a single form could be added by the user. I was not able to find such an option with this version and the deduction was not going to matter, but I still would have liked the option. I would recommend this software to anyone.
What's great about it: So easy - anyone can use it
What's not so great: No 'add a form' option
