ok but not great

Once printed, not sure which forms should be mailed, computer hung up several time with turbo tax loaded, printing only one form was difficult, only wanted to print state return - printed fed as well, still not sure how to save in pdf format, last years save all on a disc was much easier, not sure how tom exit this review, picture says 1000 words is a stupid feature!!!
What's not so great: printing was very difficult to navigate, saving to pdf was not easy

Done for another year!

Turbo Tax has worked for me for the last 6 years. There have been no audits and no problems. If you can read your 1099's, you can fill in all of the required blanks on the forms that TurboTax provides. E-filing is so easy.
What's great about it: The transfer of information & numbers from last year's taxes!
What's not so great: I have no complaints.

Interesting conclusion

The program is great itself as it is easy and very user friendly. The e-mail portion of it is a great change. I never saw the extra filing fees coming nor the bank deal with some eastern bank. The extra charges made it almost as expensive as having a preparation expert to it. That takes away the advantage......
What's great about it: Easy and quick
What's not so great: nice extra charges to e-mail

overall experience is good. Easy to follow directions even for more complicated tax situations.

Confusing at the end

At the end, the program was very confusing. I was asked if I wanted to print my forms, OK. I was taken to a PDF that asked me to sign the forms before they were printed and mailed. I was not mailing them, I want to email them.
What's great about it: Started out clean and simple

TurboTax dominance fading

I've used TurboTax for years. I installed 2013 TT on a new desktop computer at home. TurboTax would not use any of my previous personal information from tax year 2011 because it was more than 2 years past. My 2012 tax return was using TurboTax online version. TurboTax never asked to check if I could get info from a previous return. I had to fill in all my info from scratch. I will be looking at other tax return options if I have to refill all my info every year.
What's great about it: Familiar look and feel
What's not so great: Did not recognize me

Excellence for Over a Decade

I have been using Turbo Tax for over at least 14 years, and it has not failed me yet. It literally holds your hand as you as you take a linear path through the US tax code. Revisions to your data are easy to make with several techniques for doing so.
I would recommend purchasing Audit Defense if your tax data has a degree of complexity. IRS caught us on a personal error, and the tax experts represented us to IRS in a diligent and professional manner.

What's great about it: Very User Friendly. Help is always there from Turbo Tax and US government. E-filing is efficient and secure.

Turbo Tax says it's and IRS issue. IRS says it's a Turbo Tax issue.
Don't know what will happen this year.
