This year's Turbotax would not pick up the info that I had on my computer.
What's great about it: I've used it for many years
What's not so great: Glitch

I use each year, and I remain a dedicated return user.
Excellent and painless way to do your taxes yourselve.
Thanks.
What's great about it: common language hand-holding, step by step

The program makes it difficult, at times to find a section you flagged to go back to, I have alternated each year between this and another program - They are both equally confusing...It may be just our tax code which stink*s
What's great about it: convient
What's not so great: somewhat confusing

This gets easier every year and each year's return teaches me what to save in the way of documentation so I can save more money next time.
What's great about it: Took less than two hours to complete and check (and recheck because I'm a little paranoid!)
What's not so great: none

Some fonts too small for aging eyes. Font size options would be welcome.

Performs as Advertised

1. Saves gasoline driving to the accountant. 2. Does a complex job involving SEP's, Rents, Royalties, sales of assets, pensions, W2's, various 1099's and has satisfied IRS for seven years running. 3. Useful data from last years form ports over. 4. Comparison of last year's category results to current year is helpful in some cases.
What's great about it: Flanges up all the information one can get by spending a lot of time with IRS 17 and executes required calculations.
What's not so great: There are no obvious "cons."

made completing my tax returns easy

Overall turbo tax is a simple, efficient and almost fun way to complete your tax returns. Almost makes it painless. However, it is confusing at the end to get a copy printed. Need a yes/no selection screen for command to print copies of federal and state returns.
What's great about it: entering charitable deductions was easy
What's not so great: entering charitable deductions needs to have an actual cost selection under choices when entering data yourself

Some small changes ..

Change the instructions to select a bank/brokerage so it can be implemented easily. Also, it was confusing to see the verbiage describing that the Sales Tax and one other form were "not finished"; when they were finally released, why didn't TT update the verbiage to reflect that they had been released. I had to go to the website and search for my answer!
Overall I am very happy with the program ... perhaps because I have been using it for so many years now!!!
What's great about it: Importing of my data from bank and brokerage accounts, once I figured out how to do it, was awesome!
What's not so great: TT didn't tell me to double-click to select the banking/brokerage. Confusing verbiage on forms not completed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
