Turbo Tax organizes the process into easy to follow progressive sections. They "talk" you through each section and offer explanations for the reason for the questions. You come away knowing why the amounts are what they are.
What's great about it: Ease of filing. being walked through each section

I used TurboTax Deluxe. It covered everything that I needed in a clear, step by step manner and only took about 1.5 hours to complete. The information carry over from last year is helpful because I am paranoid about typing in data incorrectly.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: State e-file and full audit support costs extra

I just did my taxes with Turbotax for the fourth year in a row, I don't want to even bother trying anything else. Turbotax makes the process so easy that anybody with a sixth grade education can do it.
Turbotax starts by introducing itself on your computer screen From that point on, you will almost feel like you are sitting next to a live tax professional as Turbotax ask questions about your income and expenses. At each stage, it explains what it is doing and why it is doing it. It takes the fear and intimidation out of tax preparation. I tend to work slowly, and I was done with my state and federal taxes in about an hour.
My main gripe, (and my only gripe) is the box at the top of the screen that gives an early estimate of your refund. Turbotax puts it there way too early, and it goes down progressivly as the job nears completion. It sets you up for an unnecessary disappointment.

I feel like they ask all the right questions and walked me through a complete process. I'm very happy with my refund. Nothing in my filing is incredibly complicated, but I certainly feel comfortable that they've helped me get everything back I'm due.
What's great about it: My taxes are relatively simple, but its still awesome to have someone walk me through the process. E-filing is great
What's not so great: would love to be able to do it on my ipad. Maybe next year.

Works great! It asks about deductions I didnt know about and that I would have forgotten about. Also very easy to follow.
