Fast and Easy

I made a mistake and checked a box for Canceled Debt and could not uncheck. I searched the Help section and found that I could delete the form which I did. There should be an option to undo or uncheck without having to delete the form from the return.
What's great about it: Very easy
What's not so great: Can be confusing (some of the obsure forms)

I've used TurboTax since 2006. It is easy as long as one has organized the needed info in advance. I recommend it highly.

The program worked great.
There is one issue that needs to be looked into.
Here are the facts:
My daughter lives in Kalamazoo which is 60 miles south of
Grand Rapids and is in a different tax area.
She works and has rental property in GR which she needs to pay city tax on. When I do the rental property it comes up exempt for GR taxes, however, it needs to be included.

Everything was great up until the filing moment...

I love TurboTax. However it remembered that I received a certain 1099 the previous year. I didn't need to get one this year from that same institution, since I had nothing on line 12a to report. At the TRANSMISSION point, it asked me fill in the missing line, and if I didn't have the info, it offered instead to Print and Mail the return.
I'm wondering why it waited till that late point to ask me. It really should have pointed out a problem like that during the Error Check.

What's great about it: If you've used Turbotax before, it's quick & easy
What's not so great: Right at the moment the return was being e-filed, it found an error, NOT during the REVIEW

Best Bang for the Buck

The pros outweigh the cons. This is the fifth or sixth year I have use TT and it has been consistent in format and ease of use, making navigation and stop/start easier for experienced user. This enables me to start return early, entering data as necessary forms and data arrive in the mail whether it is Income or Deduction related. There is some scrolling required which at times is aggravating.
Recurring checks are helpful as one does make mistakes.
Nice to have a "take" on audit sensitivity even though our return is not that complicated or unusual..
What's great about it: Easy to use. Allows using on my own. Checks and backchecks
What's not so great: Couldn't download investment transactions from National Financial Services, LLC
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I CANNOT stress enough how easy this is to do.

Once you have gone through this process you will see that the people you have been paying ALOT of money to process your taxes are using the same programs. You are not asked any questions during your turbo tax interview online in the privacy of your home that you were asked to answer in your tax preparation office. I have been using this program since it came out and I cannot stress the ease of use and information available to you.
What's great about it: You do not have to go into an office with next to no privacy to complete your returns
What's not so great: none
