All went well, except the Ohio Local School Income Tax supplemental forms just did not want to fill. I had to go to forms and do clean up work. Eventually got it to produce. Don't remember that problem last year.
What's great about it: Walk through does nice job
What's not so great: Local School tax did not work as well this year

Turbo Tax is The Best!

What's great about it: Smooth process and very accurate!

Great Program Makes Taxes Understandable and Fast

I've used TurboTax since it started as MacInTax over 25 years ago to do my personal taxes and those of my kids. The program makes doing taxes simple, friendly, and understandable. My taxes have been both complicated and simple over the years. I like the way the program has an option to lead me through all the possible scenarios that might affect me. And each year it loads all my data from the previous year, thereby saving me the time of re-entering it (for example all my charities just show up again and show me what I entered the year before). It transfers the Federal data over into my state program and saves me the time of re-entering that, and shows me all the differences and the proper adjustments between my federal and state return. And they guarantee the accuracy of all calculation. For the nominal cost of the program, I save the cost of a tax accountant and have a better sense of all the parts of my taxes.
What's great about it: The program is comprehensive, accurate, easy to use
What's not so great: They try to sell you other services as part of the review of your taxes

Great Experience with Turbo - As Always!

As always, this year with TurboTax was a good experience. I did not have too much trouble except finding answers to some questions-just took more time to find out information that I would have liked for it to. But all-in-all I had a good result working on our taxes using TurboTax and I would never use another company.
What's great about it: TurboTax is very informative!
What's not so great: Has some trouble finding answers.

Good experience this year

I went to a national tax preparer the last two years (name rhymes with JR Clock), and though they did a decent job, they charged a lot more (and would have this year) for what I got with Turbo Tax Deluxe. I expected to pay the IRS this year, based on two different estimates from online sites and my own calculations, but Turbo Tax was thorough enough and got me a nice little refund. Sure, you could do your taxes for free yourself, but if you don't have the time, this is a good deal.

Explain this was very helpful since there where something on our taxes this year that we haven't previously had experience. It also helped refresh us on topics that we weren't quite sure about since things changed over the past year.
What's great about it: Helped to figure out each topic when you aren't sure what you may or may not need to enter

Good and honest accounting

I have used turbo tax for at least 10 years now and have had no problems with it or the IRS. If you put in honest information you get honest accounting. The program leads you through the agony of filing taxes as easily as you can do it. they also tell you the likelihood of an audit.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: didn't make me rich
