Turbo Tax is a big plus

I like it when they take it step by step through all the forms.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: Filing Cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have found Turbo Tax to be a perfectly acceptable alternative to a paid preparer, & MUCH cheaper. It is easy to use & very thorough in capturing income, adjustments and deductions. I especially like the ability to look at forms & print them to compare with last year's return.
What's great about it: Organized, step-by-step instructions, double-checks
What's not so great: Too many questions about buying additional services.

The step by step format is of great assistance to a non- accountant.
The telephone assistance (I used it 3 times) is excellent and in each case my question was answered promptly and effectively.

It would be nice to see what the fees for State E File and Turbo Tax Processing are going to be at the beginning of the process, as well as, at the end when you have to pay the fees.

Great Job!

I have used TurboTax for several years until last year I had to purchase another software because TurboTax was not available in my store. I prefer TurboTax over the other one because it is user friendly. I missed being able to import information from last year's return. I will always choose Turbotax first.
What's great about it: I like using Turbotax. Saves me lots of time.

I've been using Turbo tax for over ten years and have found it to be the most comprehensive and easy to use tax preparation program available.
Since I work it myself I can take my time researching and finding deductions I would have missed otherwise.

My 2013 Fed Return

I wanted to see how Sch D Line 13 was calculated. Clicking the value and magnifying glass goes back to the data entries. However the info in the data entries does not add up to the same value as Sch D Line 13. After exhaustive search I discovered that the data entries display was incomplete leading to perceived mismatch of values. However doing my own math I found that the final result for 1040 was correct.
I believe this is a program error and you should correct it.
