Taxes Made Easy

Overall I liked the product; been using it for several years now. The user interface remains pretty good. I liked the import of the 2012 tax data. My biggest complaints are 1) there should be a lot more info on kids in college but are still dependent on Mom and Dad supporting them. If a student works part-time who takes the personal deduction for the student and what do I tell my kids (can they also take the personal deduction?) and 2) the non-cash charitable deduction section needs more info on contributing what is basically computer rental. I run a program to help analyze data for Standford University and trying to categorize that is difficult (intellectual property?) and how to calculate a fair value for the computer hours worked by the machines.
What's great about it: Migrated 2012 data automatically. Fairly easy to follow.
What's not so great: Non-cash charitable deduction worksheet could use some work.

I have been using this for years & years & will continue to do so as long as it stays the "same". I can't imagine paying someone as I have a lot of forms & I would still need to gather all the info. Why pay someone a lot of money to just enter the numbers when I've done all the leg work?
What's great about it: easy to use, like the guided part. Great that it imports last years info.
What's not so great: not really any

Probably different than some other persons, I truly like the independence permitted by using Turbo Tax. Couple this aspect with the truly great guidance format creates a real winner
I have used this comper approach to doing taxes for many years - going back to when I used Mac In Tax.
What's great about it: easy to follow the guided tour.
What's not so great: Non serious.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Taxes Done Whew

I like having everything set up for me to fill in and having the computation done and verified accurate. I keep all my records so I just need to fill in the blanks...easy!
What's great about it: Easy to follow with lots of questions to help you find deductions.
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Like using it. The product pays for itself with the first return, I have been using it for about 10 years and have never had a problem. The only thing I do not like is Having to pay a fee to file state when state lets you efile for free.
What's great about it: Covers all bases, Quick, Easy

I have used TurboTax for many, many years and am always satisfied with the ease and guidance, especially deductions, for completing my tax returns. I will continue to use TurboTax in the future and recommend it to friends and family.
