Stellar service and great refund!!

I have been using Turbo Tax for over a decade. This was the fastest and easiest year ever!! I have never had a problem with Turbo Tax and I plan to use it until a never have to file a tax return again.
What's great about it: Walk through is very intuitive and easier than earlier versions
What's not so great: Program updates should occur when starting not just before the state download.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

State Tax Problem

Turbo Tax state tax interview did not ask specifically about medical insurance premiums paid that ARE deductible for Idaho income tax. If one entered that info into the federal tax worksheets then it was automatically transferred, however, if one knows that the threshold for deducting medical expenses (as a % of income) is not going to be exceeded then one typically doesn't bother with entering all that info. Hence, it will not be considered in the Idaho state return because the question isn't asked again specifically. could be a costly oversight!
What's great about it: computations and transferring of data between forms makes it possible to do multiple iterations and corrections with eas
What's not so great: Interview did not ask me about medical premiums paid that ARE deductible for Idaho.

Walked through every step to get all refunds

I have been using TurboTax for last 4 years. Eventhough I bought new home this year, I still went ahead with TurboTax because of the comfort level that I have with the software. Very user intuitive and have powerful user base for any clarifications.
What's great about it: Clear and step by step guidance

Easy toFollow

Entering the return itself was a relatively simple matter. Directions were easy to follow and the process was organized in a logical manner. Entering the information and completing the return was great. I appreciated the review process at the end but was a less than pleased with the urging to upgrade and purchase more near the end.
What's great about it: The process was well organized into categories, easy to follow for most of the time, and help is available. Great produ
What's not so great: Too many adds for additional items at an extra cost. If wanted a higher priced version, I woudl have purchased one.

Horrible

We bought Turbo Tax so that we could e-file. After finally finishing our return, our returns would not transmit. Program suggested that we just mail it in. If we had wanted to mail it in, we wouldn’t have bought the program! When we looked at customer support, we saw that many people had similar problems.
What's not so great: Finally finished my return and it wouldn’t transmit; told to mail return!
