User Friendly

As a user of TurboTax since the 1990's, I have generally found improvements with each subsequent year. While the tax code has not been simplified, TurboTax continues to simplify the process.
What's great about it: All topics explored in a logical and user-friendly format
What's not so great: Too many ads and offers when I simply want to finish and submit
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The problem with Turbo Tax is that they take a simplistic approach to things. They either ask misleading questions, or expect you to know how to answer complex questions without explanation.
What's great about it: Easy to use on the surface
What's not so great: Does not explain what is really needed

Error Free on First Try.

As in past years Turbotax saved me the cost of professional assistance in filing. I am confident that all possible income items, deductions, and side issues were considered and properly handled. I have no worries about the math, since Turbotax handles that and guarantees it to be correct. The program did not find any significant errors, but did have me complete a couple of entries on the forms. On first pass I did all entries by answering all of the interview questions. As an experienced Turbotax user, I elect to select categories to work on depending on availability of my inputs. I can see from the topics which categories are not applicable to us and can be skipped. That is faster than going straight thru the interviews.
What's great about it: Good, thorough interview process.
What's not so great: Missed a couple of duplicated entries.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

I've been using Turbo Tax for YEARS. Why pay some company to do something you can easily do yourself? So easy to use. They hold your hand (figuratively) through the whole return. Seems pretty difficult to mess anything up.
What's great about it: Just fill in info it asks for & answer yes/no questions
What's not so great: It's all so easy--makes me paranoid something is wrong.
