Turbotax 2013

I had some real concerns with this years Tax preparation. The personal support from a Tax Expert was esential in answering some of my questions. Once I was connected with the Tax Expert, She not only answered the questions I had but also guided me through a better understanding of the Turbotax program.
I owed Fed Tax and had a State refund coming. At the filing stage of the process I opted for the withdrawl from my bank account. I was somewhat confused and frustrated when the program then gave me the option to pay with the a credit card or deduct from refund. I thought the bank account option had alraedy taken care of things. Some kind of note prior to this point might clarify this.

I have recommended TURBO tax to many people.
What's great about it: Ease of use to do taxs.
What's not so great: Not really.

Not anywhere bear as good as previous years.
What's great about it: Loaded last years ok
What's not so great: Several times I was unable to continue because data was not loaded correctly from an earlier return

again your representative was very informative and patient with me. she would not get off the phone until my problem was solved. my check update problem was resolved after hitting TURBO TAX MENU and quiting turbo tax. then i was able to transmit my taxes.

Occasionally TurboTax ("TT") transfers amounts or displays amounts that are not intuitively explained. If you had more explanatory comments with the actual reconciliation in pop-up boxes or side notes it would help.
What's great about it: Easy to use, accurate.
What's not so great: A bit deficient on informative comments.

Always easy

As I said, it works well the same year after year. When you look at a specific form to see what actual data is required, you are left hanging as to how you get back actual tax document. It would be nice at the end if it tells you that there is an error if it would take you back to the actual form so you can see exactly where the error is. Showing a box and asking for a number is not very useful.
What's great about it: Works the same year after year.
What's not so great: Moving from forms back actual taxes is a pain.

I've been using TurboTax for the past 13-14 years and it's always made tax time a breeze, except for getting all the documentation I require together and organized and ready to go. I keep all "tax oriented" documentation together and in one place so even that made overall preparation simple. I really like that, if I have a question about something, all I need to do is click on the hyperlink that takes me to the answers. Another positive is the checks and double checks before committing to an action.
What's great about it: Ease of navigation
What's not so great: Not a thing wrong with the program!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
