Good Program and getting better

I've been turbo tax for years and I will keep on using.
The only problem I had this year was transferring data from 2012 to 2013 it wouldn't transferr my state tax refund from 2012 to the 2013 worksheet. this was easily fixed but I had to start a new from scratch 2013 tax worksheet from beginning. and it took the second time.
What's great about it: Easy to use, positive secure feeling while navigating program
What's not so great: like everything made by not perfect but getting better
Pros: I moved

Easy to Work With

I would like to have imported my 2012 tax return that was done by an accountant but wasn't able to do so.
If you made it possible for people to do so it would be a good selling point.
What's great about it: Gave Step by Step Guidance
What's not so great: At end I was getting Errors messages and wasn't sure what to do.

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and it has been no hassled at all. I did tried another program two years ago since it was cheaper however there were so many fees that were not included in the price of the program. The cost was more than Turbo Tax so I went back to Turbo Tax. Stick to a good thing.
What's great about it: The program was easy and not to complicated
What's not so great: Identity pin was almost miss needs to be more prominet

Could be better

1) Error checking: I have used TT for years. This year, on both returns I have prepared so far it passes error check, then catches errors when you go to print.
2) Pushes paid services: even on my son's $6 refund return, it pushes the paid services.
3) Irrelevant questions: for my son, it established early in the interview that I had claimed him as my dependent, but it still drove through the entire list of questions on education credits only to conclude - gee, he can't get the credit because he's a dependent.
What's great about it: They cover most everything
What's not so great: late error review; pushes paid services; asks irrelevant questions

Some shortcomings
on March 24, 2014

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I have occasionally tried another brand but have always come back. However, this year there are some worrisome things that happened when doing my return. When I went through the "guide me through it" process (which I always do so I don't miss anything), I went to end without the program ever asking for my direct deposit information for my refund. I thought I might have missed something, so I did it again. Once again, no request for a direct deposit of my refund to a bank account. When I printed out my forms, that part on the Federal Return had xxxxx in it. Good thing I printed them out and gave them a look before I proceeded to efile. Also on my state return, I was dumbfounded on why I owed twice what I thought I did. AGAIN, I found out that no where in the collection of information process did it ask how much I had paid into the state for estimated taxes. CRAZY!!!! So I went back into the forms section and typed in the information directly to the state form. These things have been included in the past versions of Turbo Tax, and this year it is missing. Not really pleased. Next year I will look at other options for tax preparation.
What's great about it: Detailed and thorough (for the most part), easy to use
What's not so great: Left important things out.

Am not real computer savvy, but have been using TurboTax for 10 years now, has been a pretty good experience so far. Have had no problems understanding how to get it done.
What's great about it: Step by step, easy to use, easy to understand process
What's not so great: Don't like the filing fee for state refund & processing fee, think are a bit high
Pros: I moved
