Delighted ~ Disappointed

Everything started out great with my TurboTax experience. However, when I tried to e-file my federal return after completion, I kept getting a message that a return with the same SSN had already been filed. Checking on the status of the transfer showed that my return and not been transferred. I finally just printed the return to mail it. The state return e-filed just fine.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Would not e-file federal return

Love Turbo Tax but used on line version last year and had problem with my payment to IRS direct debit did not work then this year went back to using CD disk and it could not down load info from online version I used last year,
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Could not get program to upload info from cloud version I used last year

No simpler way to do taxes other than turning everything over to a CPA and paying a large fee.
Being able to start and stop filling out the return whenever I like is a big plus; this enables me to avoid stress of having to do everything at once.

Turbo tax makes doing taxes less burdensome. If you forgot a document you are right at home where you can find it.
What's great about it: Questions entries as appropriate. Step by step guide and resources helpful
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

My thoughts on Turbo Tax

Put in disk and load. Could not be easier. Questions very easy to follow. I like that it will transfer info from last years tax return. Know every step of the way what we will be receiving or paying. Feel very confident with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: on rare occasion I come upon words or sentencesthat are difficult to figure
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love using turbo tax because it is not overwhelming, it reminds me of what I need to deduct and it is easy to stop and pick up later as I am a busy single mom.
What's great about it: Reminds me to deduct things I wouldn't think of.
What's not so great: a save button would be nice
