Great! Just Great!

It is so easy. All my historical data is automatically transferred. Last year's figures are presented for comparison. Being retired, my taxes are relatively easy to do, but my return was completed and filed within one hour... and that's including installing and updating the program.
I was confused when it first told me that I didn't need to file a Florida state return, which I knew, but then kept asking me to download the software and complete a return.

What's great about it: Simple to use.
What's not so great: Told me I didn't have to file a State Return in Florida, then kept asking me to download the software & prepare return.

Reliable and Thorough

I've been using TurboTax exclusively for about 10 years and plan to continue. While the step-by-step input may occasionally feel tedious, its friendly tone and prompts for more information give a feeling of reassurance that everything relevant will be included. I appreciate the way TT automatically generates each applicable IRS form and accurately cross-references the math among them. The ability to switch to form mode at any time facilitates error checking and provides a way to see the return itself as it is developed. The final analysis, review, and e-file processes help increase my sense of confidence that it will be correct and acceptable to the IRS.
What's great about it: Previous year baseline info saved a lot of time and helped prevent overlooking things.
What's not so great: Pinpoint navigation within step-by-step mode is sometimes awkward.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Poor Filing Payment Process

Unable to pay filing fee via credit card. Could not recall pet's name. Pressing help resulted in a script error. Was forced to pay surcharge for your problem. Was this the plan? I'd like a refund.

Paying Uncle Made Easy

We have used this program from near its beginning. Turbo Tax has improved the program in about every way. We particularly like our annual taxation electronic record keeping. The asked information is organized and accurately placed on forms that I never knew existed. Even if we knew a particular form existed, it may have changed; Turbo Tax keeps track of those changes. We believe that it is consistent, reliable, and accurate. Good information is put into it so that a good end product is the result. We would like the program to go back to comparing our summary data with the national averages.

2013 Taxes

A bit harder to use than last years program. Did not provide as much information as I wanted withoud having to go to a different site.
did taxes, but still not that warm and fuzzy feeling.
What's not so great: Not as easy as last years forms.
