Excellent program which makes filling out the forms a breeze versus a "nasty task". I have a relatively complicated tax filing each year so just selecting the right forms has always been a chore in itself however the program interview questions helps to quickly narrow the selections and expedite the entire process. Good Stuff!! Will continue to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Much faster & fun process versus wading through all those dry and sometimes confusing IRS Forms
What's not so great: Only issue was that part of 2012 data did not import into 2013, and did not find a way to repeat the import process.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is the key to expediting my accurate tax preparing experience, and that's why I've used it for many years. Everything from the importing of pertinent previous year info to nailing down and including relatively obscure items like the Permanent Fund Dividend in AK makes TurboTax THE choice for do-it-yourselfers like me. Outstanding!
What's great about it: Liked the ease of program navigation
What's not so great: none

Making sure that I had a copy of last years returns was super helpful. Overall, good experience, it would be nice if more institutions were supporting import.
What's great about it: Imported old info from last year
What's not so great: taxes are just long
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Disappointing

The programmed required me to enter information that would not have been required if I had done the returns myself. It certainly was not worth the price paid for the software. The charge for the e-filing the state return was too high. I can send the return in by regular mail for about a dollar.
What's great about it: It did the mathematical calculations accurately.
What's not so great: Instructions were confusing.

This is at least the 8th year that I've used TorboTax to file both federal and state returns. Every year, the software has made organizing and filing easy and painless, or at least as painless as taxes can be. This year is definitely no exception! The interview questions and amplifying information made filing a piece of cake.
What's great about it: Both easy and thorough.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

This year was a bit harder to complete

I file a return for 2 states (resident/non-resident) and Turbo Tax does not advise on which return I should complete first before moving onto the next state.
What's great about it: Electronic filing makes things easier
What's not so great: editing form can be a bit confusing.

Frustrated and Disappointed

The login dialog for downloading transactions will not allow you to drag-and-drop passwords. So instead of safely and securely dragging my generated password from the password store I trust I had to show the password and manually transcribe the password by reading it and typing what I read. Okay that was only marginally less secure - but why make me do it? Not to mention generated passwords are not very readable so it took me several attempts as I confused various letters and digits.
What's great about it: Less painful to download than to manually enter
What's not so great: Download was clumsy and less secure than i would have liked
