I could not file my one free State Return. Now I can't get Turbo Tax to print my State Return Filing Sheets so I can file, unless I rate Turbo Tax . Hopefully it will print after I finish this review.
What's great about it: Usually in past was easy.
What's not so great: Not easy this year, could not e-file my State 1 Free Return

I like Turbo Tax. Unless you prepare returns for a living, it will get you through your tax return with a lot of assurances that you are doing things right and not missing anything. This year Michigan changed its rules on pension income. There is limited grandfathering for Federal employees. The software can be used to fix it, but if fails to ask the question (its Michigan Schedule 1 Line 23 C and 23 F.
A great product. Caught you!
What's great about it: It asked almost all of the right questions.
What's not so great: Missed the special exclusion for Federal employees pension, if born in 1949

Fast and Easy!

Fast and easy as long as I had my charitable contributions receipts handy and then had to find the mailing addresses for all of them. We do many of our contributions online and the mailing address is not apparent on the printed receipt -- but that is not Turbo Tax's doing.
What's great about it: I really like being able to import last year's info into this year's return and then go step by step
What's not so great: I didn't find a negative - but I had a tough time remembering my high school mascot!

I've used a CPA since purchasing my first house in 2009 to do my taxes. After a poor experience last year my wife and I decided to try to file on our own using Turbo Tax. It was very easy and $120 cheaper then our former CPA.
What's great about it: Very user friendly, clear, and concise
What's not so great: none

I have been using Turbo Tax for years, after trying one of the other tax software that was somewhat confusing, I'll never use anything but TurboTax.
What's great about it: Fast and easy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Turbo Tax is very easy and intuitive software to use. I love that you can record your contributions in It's Deductible all year long, then bring them into your taxes. So easy!
What's great about it: Easy to navigate through software, can be guided or can pick how to enter yourself
What's not so great: Isn't always clear what is under each major category

Great product as always!

I am a big fan of Turbotax. I love how information can be imported like your W-2 or brokerage account. This year's version was somehow slightly different, slightly more confusing and more difficult to navigate. Can't put my finger on it. The previous four or five years' versions would pop up like a familiar, old friend. Even the icon changed. What's up with that? However, I feel that this is the best product on the market. Highly recommended!
What's great about it: I like how Turbotax imports the previous year's info
What's not so great: This year's version was a little difficult to fill out.

After your finish your taxes and your feel "free" your still have to pay for transfer the lowest return. Come on!!
And another annoying issues I s the help center....It doesn't help at all; any forum on Internet had better answer and better structure.
What's great about it: Transfer your information
What's not so great: Doesn't included the total price.
