Great Program!

Turbo Tax is a great product if you need step by step help in filing your taxes. The constant updates help to make sure that your returns are as accurate as possible. I used audit support in 2012 and they were a wonderful help in discovering the error was not mine, but the IRS. Without their help, I would have paid fines that I didn't really owe. Thanks Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Step by step instructions; error check; support if audited.

I find Turbo Tax easy to follow, has step by step workflow so you know you got it all and an easy way to update and edit. I also like the error check.
What's great about it: easy to follow
What's not so great: price of pa e file
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Cost is becomming prohibitive

Program is good and I have used for many years. This year you charged for the initial program, charged for the state, and charged to file which is a two fold increase. I need to look at other software that does not charge so much.
What's great about it: I like using turbo Tax
What's not so great: new charging for state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have been using TurboTax for many years. I am able to do the taxes for my Husband's 3 businesses without a problem. Then I can help out the lady down the street with a simple filing also.
The flexibility of being able to self guide, or walk thru step by step is appreciated.

why can you not read the pdf file?

My computer crashed an all I had was the pdf file not the ttax file and had to do manual reentry.
If you can create the pdf why can you not import the pdf?

Last year a family member used H&R Block instead of turbo tax. It was the worst mistake ever!!!! I really enjoy working with Turbo Tax. Keep up the good work!
What's great about it: user friendly; i love to feel Im in control all while Turbo tax holding my hand!
What's not so great: i thought my 1st state was free. Then surprised my 2nd state was $25! will have to read the fine print next time

It would be helpful if you add a password feature to the tax-return file on the computer, and retrofit to the earlier tax-years' files as well. The reason is that, if our PC's needed to be repaired, would not have to delete the tax-return files before we submit the PC to the shop if there were a pass-word that is secure enough.
