I believe the software should be better at helping me find deductions for my tax return. I was not pleased with the final amount. Also, the software should provide at least one free e-file for state taxes, especially since the federal government already provides a free federal e-file.
What's great about it: Somewhat easy to use
What's not so great: I'm not pleased with my tax return

I really enjoyed the easy to understand questions. It took a miserable experience and made it a quick and easy chore!
What's great about it: Short and to the point! Very easy to understand!

Doing TurboTax update should NOT affect input data

I lost all data since my last save when an S/W update was processed. Any update should first ask if data save has been taken - to make sure that data is NOT lost! I lost hours figuring out what I was missing and then adding the data in.
What's great about it: I liked the way it goes about making sure data can be entered

So glad you made this easy for me to do. Lots cheaper for a senior citizen to muddle through.
What's great about it: Relatively easy
What's not so great: Scary to do- I hate all the Mickey Mouse rules-NOT Turbo Tax, the Government.

Turbo Tax was simple to do and walked me right thru the whole process. Will use Turbo Tax again next year.

I may go to an accountant next year.
What's great about it: Methodical. Comprehensive. For the most part, easy to use.
What's not so great: HSA. MSA. Everything else connected to health care expenses.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

NYS tax penalty error

Underpayment of estimated Income tax IT-2105.9 did not give me credit automatically for paying before April 15, although I had entered my payment date of 03/25/2014.
Only with the excellent help of the telephone Intuit person, was I able to get my credit added to line 23, IT-2105.9

Even I Can Do It!

I love the way the software walked me through every page from income, to schedules, to expenses, etc. Then the ability to e-file, print and complete!
What's great about it: I could file from home....
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
