Oops, You Did It Again

The 1099C form for those who did foreclose/short sale was fine, but for those who received homeowner reduction on their main home could have been defined in the blue explanation box a little better. I almost added this reduction in the "Misc" section as a loan type for credit card. As I went into more details of the foreclose/short sale section, it explained it a little more clearly, but in order to notice it I had to actually fill out the form as if it was a foreclosure.
What's great about it: The "Guide-Me" process, I have been using this product for years and have tried other products and always come back.
What's not so great: The 1099C form as it relates to the "HAMP" program

I have been using TurboTax for about 20 years and found it to be the best that I have used so far. I have tried other tax programs but they did give the confidence that TurboTax has given me. I will continue to use TurboTax as my tax preparation software.
What's great about it: Very easy way to self prepare your taxes.
What's not so great: None that I came across.

Keeps Getting Better -

The Alabama NOL-85 form and instructions could be a lot clearer and include a carryover worksheet which shows past unused losses as well as a history of when those losses were used and applied.
What's great about it: Improves each year,
What's not so great: Doesn't improve fast enough for the Alabama Taxes
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Happy with refund

I had been told by others that when they filed the state return that Turbo Tax missed asking for a signature. This apparently was corrected as I was asked to sign on both my federal and state returns. Some of the questions need to be edited a little to make them more clear and I miss having them send me through a question and answer section to determine if I was able to claim some tax credits.
What's great about it: Easier than last year
What's not so great: was not always sure that I had completed a section

We have used TurboTax to file our taxes for over 10 years. We stayed with it because it is easy and friendly to use. This product has improved tremendously over the years, thanks for Intuit's focus on both security, product integrity, and usability.

OK.....

Every year the city return it's like we start over. It's the same two returns every year. Why can't you just pull them over from the prior year like you do on the state and federal??? VERY FRUSTRATING.
Also you need to simplify the process on HSA accounts. Every year this takes forever and there are ALWAYS errors to correct at the end during the review.
Other than that OK. I've used TT for 15 years.
What's great about it: Bringing in data from last year for State and Fed
What's not so great: Bringing in data from last year's city return
