makes your life easy

It took me less than 3 hours to do my taxes and no high fees from a tax preparer. No appointments and waiting in an office. The only way to go is Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: A cheap way to get your taxes done quickly. easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Navigation is a problem

Either I don't know how to use the program or there are problems inherent in the programming. I could not get from one place to another very easily. I had to go back to the beginning of a section to get to some where in the middle, and in some cases I had to reenter the data, it having been wiped out somehow. Also, many pages I was on, I had to scroll down to get to the continue button. Can't you get that button on the page without having to scroll down to see it? I found this very aggravating. Still, I got the job done. Thanks.
What's great about it: Certainly gets all of the items that I needed as I went through the process
What's not so great: Hard to get from one place to another. Too much short scrolling on individual pages

Pain free tax filing

I use this program each year and each year it seems to be a little more refined and easy to navigate. All the work I really have to do is to have my papers on hand.
What's great about it: The federal and state meters at the top of the page let you know exactly where you stand as you progress through.
What's not so great: I still have to scroll down each page to click on the continue button.

Making it easy

Everything worked well. It's always a pleasure to use Turbo Tax and I appreciate the tips you give in certain areas. It feels like I have a CPA on my side for a fraction of the price - and I have him/her here in my own home!
On my state return, it didn't give me an option/recommendation as to how much of my 529 contribution I want to use this year. My state allows a five year carryover just in case you are not in the highest tax bracket in your contribution year.
It didn't matter this year, but next year it could be significant. Perhaps you knew that and that is the reason you didn't ask how much of my 529 contribution I wanted to use this year.

What's great about it: Great not having to re-input previous information. Nice to get a quick refund as well
