Love turbo tax because it's so easy to use.

I've used Turbo Tax for years. I like that it transfers data from the previous year's tax return and provides year-to-year comparisons between tax years. I thought I had actually found an error until I also reviewed the corresponding worksheet; of course, Turbo Tax calculation was correct. If I had prepared the return on my own, I would overlook some tax advantages or make mistakes. I trust Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Easy to use and accurate.

I like how Turbo Tax walks you through every item & has help every step of the way. You can always use help to understand every item. I use Turbo Tax to do all my adult childrens' Taxes.
What's great about it: very well organized & up to date

Idiot proof taxes

It is so unbelievably easy. The questions are easy to follow, you prompt with what I will need before I begin a section, you check to make sure I didn't skip anything. It's also very affordable.
What's great about it: So easy! It only takes me about an hour or less to do both federal and state.
What's not so great: I have to sit down and do it.

turbo tax review

It is quick - easy to complete taxes in one sitting. I just am not sure that all possible deductions and credits that are possoble were considered and/or included.
What's great about it: quick, easy to use
What's not so great: not sure if i paid the lowest taxes possible

Adoption Credit Loop

We have spent a bit of money on adoption procedures for which we should be eligible for a tax credit. However, the non-intuitive program produced by Turbo Tax got us stuck in a loop that inadvertently caused us to fill out form 8839 3 times, looking like 3 separate children. We finally got past the loop to finish our return only to get stuck in it again when trying to e-file. The help button only helped us in that someone else who had the same problem figured out how to get out of it. Turbo Tax offered no true solution. AND, we didn't get any credit even after following all of the procedures necessary.
What's great about it: NONE
