I have used TurboTax for several years now and have never had any problems. Its easy to use, gives step by step instructions and prompts you about all possible situations you may have faced in the past year. Its very thorough and helps take away much of the pain associated with filing taxes. I highly recommend it to anyone
What's great about it: easy step by step instructions
What's not so great: none yet
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This is the 7th year I've used Turbo Tax and it keeps getting better and easier. Kudo's to the staff.
What's great about it: Quick, walked me through the tax saving tips.

2013 Turbo Tax - My new Best Friend

Step-by-step. Before Turbo Tax, I was always concerned that I had missed something or that I had entered things in the wrong place. Now I have the confidence that I did each aspect correctly. The automatic upload from previous years and for W-2 from employers is even better! Thank you Turbo Tax for streamlining the process and making me happy to pay my taxes (?)!!
What's great about it: I like the step-by-step approach. I feel confident that each aspect of the form is covered in great detail.
What's not so great: The only cons is I wish I had more assets, but that's not Turbo Taxes issue!

Check for Updates, then check again! and again!

I would try to submit electronically - and fail. Update required - why not bring that up before going through the process? And I did update this when I first installed the program, but ok, I guess they could come out with an update between the time I installed TurboTax and finished my returns. So I do the update, no big deal, I'll just pick up where I left off submitting - except I don't pick up where I left off, I start from the beginning of the submission. Wait - did my TurboTax payment for filing state go through or not? I'll have to wait for an email confirmation for payment, even then, will it ask me to pay again? Seems to remember the settings I've put in the previous attempt as well as the fact that I paid for state filing, so OK, starting over from the start isn't too bad. Then I submit electronically - and fail. Need another update. Hmm, think they'd check for further updates before proceeding, or wrap their updates into one. Rinse and repeat, and guess what - another update! Finally able to transmit. Do a better job TurboTax with your required updates before having users embark on their tax journey.
What's great about it: Does what it claims, was pretty good until submitting electronically.
What's not so great: Needs to do better with updates preventing electronic submission.

ouch!

Overall very good. Doesn't change much year to year. Would like to be able to go back to step by step to specific places without starting the section over.
What's not so great: Would like to be able to go back to a section and not have to re-answer all the questions previously done.

Great product! Minor bug that requires you to shut down program in order for the updates to take place before e-filing. But Turbotax takes the worry out of filing my taxes every year! 8 years a customer!
What's great about it: Turbotax saves all info from year to year. You only have to edit what has changed in the new year.
What's not so great: So many updates! It doesn't tell you that you must shut down and restart before e-filing in order for it to go through.

Easy to use with confidence

I have found that over the years (I've used from about 2008) TurboTax has become easier and easier to use. The guided process that takes you through your taxes is very complete and makes the confidence level of what you are filing very solid. It picks up all of my pertinent information from the previous year, yet allows me to easily and quickly make those changes that are necessary.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow step by step
What's not so great: It didn't send my refund as cash from my printer! (LOL)

Only used a competitors tax program 1 year and came back to TurboTax.
