I used to use TurboTax until I needed help from a professional, -done for a few years. This year, I came back to TurboTax and find it easy enough for my use.

Fast and easy

Why aren't tax filing programs like this one funded by the government? If we have to pay taxes, the least they could do is make it as easy as TurboTax does, but without the price.
What's great about it: Easy to use, helpful
What's not so great: Should be provided free by the government

Intuit thriving on complexity

While tax laws are entirely too complex, the intuit walk thru process has become nearly as complex. Elements are carried over from previous years sometimes without knowledge of the user. Restarting after quitting the tool does not take you back to the same place you left off. If you decide not to e-file state taxes, there is no step through process that leads you to print the tax forms for mailing.
Clearly, Intuit relies on complex tax structures to warrant their product. Now you've gone so far that your own product is becoming similarily complex. Next year I'll undoubtedly turn the paperwork over to a tax consultant and forgo buying the TurboTax.

Form definition

I have no idea what that form 3805P is and the IRS rejected my return due to this.
What's great about it: Mostly easily followed.
What's not so great: Form issues when error check is run. Form 3805P was noted as an error after filing with the IRS, return rejected.

This is a great program, however, some explanations could be clearer and a bit more detailed. For example, part of your vehicle registration may be deductible. It would be helpful if TurboTax stated what part can be deducted.
What's great about it: Great program
What's not so great: Some areas are a bit difficult to understand, the explanation could be clearer.
