Taxes Made Easy

After talking with a co-worker who has used this software for years I decided to try it too. I was very happy with it and will keep on using it now. Thanks Turbo Tax
What's great about it: Not hard to do
What's not so great: Takes some time

My Tax Review

We mistakenly thought my wife's Social Security had income tax withheld in accordance with her completed form submitted to Soc Sec last year. They did NOT withhold taxes. Then, she had the audacity to win a jackpot at a casino, also with no taxes withheld. Combined, those two events caused us to have to pay additional taxes. However, it awakened us and we have gone in person to Soc Sec and submitted the W-4V to correct that problem. Hopefully, she will NOT win any jackpots this year and we can resume getting our annual refund next year. Thanks to TurboTax for opening our eyes.
What's great about it: Ease of use, relevant explanations
What's not so great: I had to pay - My bad!!

TurboTax is a big help in making what should be a simple operation to figure our taxes. The government could greatly simplify the whole thing.

In the Walk-Me-Through process for alimony adjustment, I entered the amount I paid my ex-spouse. The next screen said I got $0 adjustment for my entry, but the refund meter and, most importantly, the tax return correctly reflected the amount of the alimony I paid. However, the worksheets showed that the alimony adjustment was "0" while an "other" adjustment was made in the amount of the alimony payment. A bit disconcerting to the inexperienced taxpayer or TurboTax user.
What's great about it: Easy and fast to get through the process
What's not so great: 2013 Deluxe version has a flaw regarding Alimony adjustment

Smooth and Comprehensive

I have been able to successfully do my taxes with Turbo Tax for over 15 years. I am very confident the taxes are complete and as accurate as my input. I love the error check features that remind me when I forgot to finish an item entry. Over the years Turbo Tax has brought to my attention details that reduced my tax bill because I was not aware of a detail or two that existed in my situation. I really appreciate the convenience of looking back through the information I have already input and not having to shuffle the paper with any changes I need to make. It is also very convenient to have the comparison with the previous years taxes to see how we are doing.
What's great about it: Complete at home including e-file.
What's not so great: If there was one I forgot it.

The way to make Taxes enjoyable

I love doing my taxes, when I get to use TurboTax! It takes you step by step covering every exhaustive point that could be on your taxes. The navigation is easy to update and go back through. This year with all the saved data from the years before, my taxes (though quite simple) took me less than an hour to complete. Thank you TurboTax!!

everybody that HAS A COMPUTOR and internet access , if your paying somebody to do your taxs . stop it this is the easiest thing in the world . don't be scared it easy easy to understand and do
