2013 taxes

Made a mistake on a date. Review pointed it out and window said that it had to be changed, but would not let me change it in that window. I had to go back and find the place were I had put that date in originally before I could get out of the situation. Would not let me finish until I did it. A convoluted way to do that. Easier to enable the window that told me about the error to make the correction right there.
Worked through the federal return and got my payment down below $1500. Turned program off and got back on later and the payment was over $1600. NO explanation for that one. I begin to doubt the integrity of the program.

When printing my returns I selected those forms for mailing my returns.I then printed them and they were fine. I then selected forms to keep for my records I previewed them on the screen and they appeared to be fine. When I started printing the state return printed fine then the Federal forms started printing, the first few pages were fine but the rest were nothing but gibberish.
I think I will have to change to some other program next year. Nine of the 21 pages we nothing but a mess!

Turbo tax ruins a legacy product

Very disappointed after having been a customer for many years.
Too many bugs for a product that has been around for so long
Why would I wait for software fixes with such poor development.
Support for basic product issues is very poor. I see no reason to pay for support if the issue is a product related failure.
The help forum format mostly relies on opinions from users and amateurs instead of trained personnel.
That is the standard for poor service.
What's great about it: Was user friendly
What's not so great: has turned into just another software product with many bugs.

Great Timing!

Overall, Turbo Tax makes it much easier for people to ask questions, receive answers - plus the simplicity of making changes is great. I've trusted my taxes to them for the past 20 years that I can recall at this point and wouldn't have it any other way.
What's great about it: The easy way things are explained.
What's not so great: Some explanations were not for the uninformed.

I've liked using this software for a number of years now. It is so user friendly and easy to complete, especially if you have used it before - always imports last year's taxes and gives a snapshot comparison of the two years, which helps make it easy to see obvious errors in your entries.
What's great about it: Only had to answer the questions!
What's not so great: None

Good Product

I've been using TurboTax for more than 10 years, and it's able to do, and account for, everything that I do financially. Granted my situation is not very complex, but it really makes the process painless with a virtually idiot-proof interface.
What's great about it: Easy, easy, easy...coaches me through everything. Takes the nightmare out of taxes
What's not so great: None - if you can read, you can do TurboTax

Great results as usual

The log on screen did not come up when I attempted to pay for state e-file. I was lost not realizing I had to sign in. After 5 or 6 attempts, the log on screen appeared and I was able to log in. It took me straight to the payment screen and there was no guidance on how to update my personal information (new email).
What's great about it: Guided me step by step. Provided guidance when necessary
What's not so great: Payment for state tax efile
