Problems with printing
on March 20, 2014

I was unable to print full-sized copies at the end, and I could not pull a copy from Adobe.
I will probably not use Turbo Tax in the future.
What's not so great: Poor interaction with Adobe

Through The Years With Turbo
on March 20, 2014
Posted by: DaveYankee
Over the many years I have used Turbo Tax, my return has gotten simplier. Others may have the opposite experience. But for me, it seems to take less time each year. I also am comforted by the program making use of my past return(s) to watch for items I may have forgotten.
What's great about it: The program has improved every year, forv a lot of years. Its more intuitive now, guessing what you omitted and suggest
What's not so great: Advertising the program is given away for free, makes me feel like a fool for paying.
Pros: I moved

Excellent As Always

I have been using TurboTax for 20 years. Each year is always an improvement over the previous year. This was the quickest of all the filings I have ever made.
What's great about it: Easy Guide lines
What's not so great: Forms form did not match up with CPA's Ranch forms

Helps the confusion
on March 20, 2014

Mostly enjoyed the process and I've used it in the past. I especially like it when the investment company transfers the info into TurboTax. I would have difficulty filling in all the blanks. I wish they all did that. I was confused with some of the questions relating to our annuities treating them like IRAs addressing portions of withdrawals. I forgot the questions now. It's a monthly payment and that should be it. I am the woman of the house and I'm proud that I could complete this complicated procedure with ease. Thank you
What's great about it: Walking through the process
What's not so great: Confusion when dealing with annunities. Questions should be different than IRAs.

State returns save a lot of time though are confusing by their nature with all the special circumstances and method to allocate income/deductions between states.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use
What's not so great: Still difficult to figure out how and where to report SEP contributions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
