Way too EASY!!!

Overall, its the easiest turbo tax experience ever! I've been using turbo tax for nearly 10 years, this year was easiest ever! I would recommend it not only to friends and family, but to people I don't even know (or do know and just don't like!) and to top it all off, I got the best refund in my history of tax filing!
What's great about it: simplified formats
What's not so great: first update took a lil longer than expected but was thorough
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

My taxes for 2013

Good software and I have used it for years. One area that always gets me and I have to manually override it...Claiming Head of Household for parents of divorced children. Here the details..
We both share equal time with child. The divorce decree states we switch back and forth from year to year as to whom can claim my son. Since it is equal time, the IRS says the "custodial parent" is the one with the highest AGI, even though the other parent claims them as a dependent. What that means is that since I have the higher AGI, I am considered custodial parent even though she claims him as a dependent for 2013; however, that allow me to still claim head of household even though I don't have him as a dependent. TurboTax software does not allow for this as it constantly sends me in an endless loop of asking me to enter a qualified child. I have confirmed this for the last few years with the IRS #via phone# and it is also published in IRS Publication 501. I would like to see this fixed for next year's software package.
What's great about it: Easy and pulled in all previous tax info including W2
What's not so great: Head of household with divorced parents needs tweeked

easy, quick, great

I've been using Turbo Tax for years. It's the easiest one out there. Quickest too. Especially if you did your taxes using Turbo Tax the prior year it pulls a lot of your info in from your prior tax return.
What's great about it: quick & easy to use, step by step tax prep

This is the 8th year I have used Turbotax. It gets easier and better every year. Two years ago I took my returns to a CPA, just to compare his work to TurboTax - the result was within a couple of dollars. Great product!

E-File Screen

Maybe a reminder on the screen regarding change of routing number from previous year. My account number is the same but the routing number for the bank changed during the year. I forgot all about the change and efiled my return. Now the IRS will mail my refund check instead of automatically depositing it. I see on the internet where someone else has done the same thing. I know this is not common for the routing number only to change. It would help Turbo Tax customers if there were a reminder on that screen. Apparently, the routing change was effective in June 2013 for my bank. Now I will have a delayed refund.
What's great about it: I like the fact that the program brings over my routing and account information. I don't have to look up this info,
What's not so great: Bank routing information has changed, as mine did for this year. Forgot, now I will receive refund by mail unstead.

Great Way to do your Taxes
