We feel happy and confident to be preparing and filing our own taxes, and not have to pay someone else to do it. TurboTax makes it very easy.
What's great about it: Prompted me with everything

Got It Done!

Overall this is a helpful and useful product. Each year (this is my fourth year using TurboTax) I get better at filling the forms. It is frustrating when the information I have is not accepted by the program. There should be a 'N/A' capability for questions. The questions I refer to are the State forms. Two years ago, my husband was a part time instructor. He stopped doing that 1/2 way through 2013. The PA tax review kept going back to this issue even though I completed the questions as best I could. N/A would have made the exercise much less frustrating
What's great about it: Nice to be able to complete the return in my own home without repeated trips back & forth to the accountant
What's not so great: Frustrating when you think you have completed the task and the review will not accept the answers I have

I've used TurboTax for years, and the experience has been different each year - some better than others. This was the best yet.
The process is well thought-out, well prepared, and well documented. It will be difficult to improve on this excellent tool.
What's great about it: The walk-though approach is clear, straight-forward, and orderly. Exceptionally well done.
What's not so great: Very little not to like. I can't think of anything right now.

Triumph with Turbo Tax 2013

I have used Turbo Tax for filing all of my and family members' tax returns throughout the years and never had to worry about leaving out any essential information needed to ensure they were done accurately. The ease of filling the return completely and the ability to go back, review, and correct anything typed wrong or missed without the stress of time limitations are what I like about Turbo Tax.
I have always recommended Turbo Tax to all my friends knowing they, too, will have a fun and easy time completing their returns.
What's great about it: A simple and thorough walkthrough with essential tax data
What's not so great: Nothing that couldn't have been solved through research

I absolutely HATE thinking about taxes and doing them and turbotax makes it soooooooo incredibly easy, that, in 365 days in a year, I have to donate about 1 hr of my time to think about taxes.

Much Easier Than I Thought

I had a more complicated return this year because of dividends. When I started working on the forms by hand, I just got more and more confused. It was then that I decided to buy TurboTax Deluxe. What a snap! Not only was the process easy, I definitely maximized my Federal return by itemizing and getting deductions for paying property taxes that I had missed in past years. I would have payed a tax professional at least 3 times what TurboTax cost! I loved the access to my bank and investment accounts!
What's great about it: All calculations including AMT are done for you. Process is a matter of answering simple questions.
