Nice and easy

It was simple and I believe I got a good refund, but how do I know an accountant couldn't have got back more?
What's great about it: Easy to do at home
What's not so great: Wonder if I really got as much as an accountant

A real Headache saver

Turbo Tax explains what is needed, and in many cases, where to find the information. There is no problem trying to interpret the words on the forms. It is even easier if you are using Turbo Tax for the second or more times, because it asks you for items that you had on the previous year's form. If it no longer applies, you just change it.
What's great about it: Everything is explained. There are no hair pulling guessing what is supposed to be filled in.

2013 taxes

For the most part the system is very friendly to use and it gives the user a sense of confidence as the sections are updated. A new customer may find the process a bit difficult the first time thru. A suggestion to work up the tax numbers before starting TurboTax would help new and veteran users tremendously. Thanks for a great work saver!
What's great about it: Easy to use,mostly.
What's not so great: Section on 1099R info won't let you edit without typing in the info.

Used turbotax since it was Macintax on 3.5 floppie

I have used turbotax on my mac since it came on 3.5 floppies and have found it excellent. This year it has been extremely disappointing. I tried to efile my parent and was told there was an update but none was available. I quit the program, came back a moment later and it went right through. On my own taxes, it kept saying there was an update when there wasn't. It is only a month away from tax day and it should be ready to use by now. On a financial program as important as turbotax that is really unsettling. It just has not been the "old dependable" I was used to. I will still use it next year but I hope they put some serious time in to de-bugging it!!!
What's great about it: I have used it for decades
What's not so great: This year it has been more buggy than the previous years put together!!!

Stress reducer!

Using last year's input helped a lot. I may be wrong, but a list of what docs are needed and pulled together before starting might make it easier and faster to work through all the forms and requirements.

I like using turbo tax because it is easy u don't have to b a college graduate to use it. It keeps u informed of any updates, the product walk u thru every deduction that u may be entitled to claim . I,ve used it for the past 10 years and plan to use it in future
What's great about it: I like turbo tax because it is so easy and covers every deductions that i should receive.
