thing 1. You kept calling me back to an "error" that wasn't... and I checked it more than 8 times. You seemed to be insisting that it was impossible for me to pay all of my rent. Why?
thing 2. This has happened on 3 different years: I fill in the W-2 boxes as I see them and you double my gross state income, compared with my gross federal income. It takes me nearly an hour to fix this each year. Stop doing that! Maybe it is Hawaii State putting wrong numbers in the wrong box, but if I record what my W-2 shows, you double my gross income for state. Please fix this!

biggest problem was that investment income was duplicated from last year and was downloaded this year
What's not so great: download and copy from last year ???
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I could not easily go to the areas I wanted like a specific deduction. I had to go through the entire topic to change one number.
I purchased a state return only to find out afterwards that I did not have to file it since I had a negative net income on that state. Turbo tax should have told me that.
Not much help for state returns and what each section meant.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been doing my Federal and State income tax returns with Turbo Tax since I first bought my first computer in 1994. First experience with the product was the program operating under DOS! That taught me that as long as you have your records in order the built in interview with Turbo Tax moved the job right along to completion and printing for mailing the return in. Now, with e-File incorporated for both Fed and State, getting the project down is even better. Been doing taxes with e-File for several years now. Turbo Tax is my 'go to' tax tool.
What's great about it: Importing important data from previous year automatic.
What's not so great: Come on! It's income tax. It's the annual pain in the …..

Fast and Easy

Turbo Tax is easy to use and for the general tax payer it is the quickest. Using their efile method makes doing your taxes almost fun.
What's great about it: Just fill in the blanks.
What's not so great: No cons.
