Continues to Improve

Turbo Tax continues to be my go-to road map through the Federal Tax code.
What's great about it: Links to help and explanation at each step. Shows data in progress.
What's not so great: California program needs to be as clear as the Federal program.

Exceptional Experience

Once you start adding income and deductions you start to realize your return. The guided process reminds you of the forms you need to complete. The suggestions of topics to review along the way help you realize the areas that might save you more money. Finally, the filing is so easy...Just a press of a button.
What's great about it: Choice of guided or not, Exceptional Help at your fingertips, Automatic transfer of last years data.
What's not so great: Would prefer not to install separate programs annually.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Time!

Each year has improved nicely! Much easier to complete the taxes than each of the previous years we have been doing it since 2008. Thank you for your hard work.
What's great about it: Walked us through very well step by step. Much easier than the last few years
What's not so great: none....well done this year.

Don't owe much

I am a retired CPA and have been doing mine, and family members returns for several years on TurboTax. I think it is very good, with the exception of printing extra pages that are not required.
What's not so great: When printing copies to be filled, why is the thankyou letter and other letters included.

The e-file was rejected and it said the number 0n the w2 was wrong. It was the same number it has been the past 20 years,
So I have been instructed to mail in the forms.

Turbo Tax is easy to understand and use. It makes tax preparation quick and easy. Don't have to worry if i get the math correct which i had to check and re-check when i did my returns by hand.
What's great about it: The questions that help guide you though the process.
What's not so great: Don't like the ads at the end.

Taxes Hurt

For the most part it was easy to use, and I've used Turbotax for many years without any serious problems. But sometimes it complains if it wants a 0 and I leave a blank or vice versa.
And sometimes things that were straightforward before become a problem, i.e. my federal retirement taxable income. TT complained I had put down 0 % taxable, which I hadn't. It turned out it had computed it for me, but made me feel it had entered 0 until I checked.
