I had storm damage on my house but your program was unable to accommodate this entry. This could have gotten me to itemized situation and cost me money because I had to take the standard deduction.
Very frustrating.
I tried to fake it in but it wouldn't take the deduction.

Stop trying to sell me the state tax. We have no state income tax here! Do some research.
What's not so great: Impossible to understand casualty losses section.

Confident about my taxes

I have used TurboTax for over 30 years. I'm comfortable with it and feel confident in final result. In recent years I find data entry is fine but making changes can be difficult. For example if I need to change one small entry in a business expense I have to again answer several questions that have nothing to do with what I want to change. Also, I'm not confident a change will be carried through thoroughly so I must make a printout and look it through closely. Sometimes a backup sheet will still have the old info. But all things considered I would not hesitate to use TurboTax again.
What's great about it: I like step by step while also being able to move at my choice. Also like switching to see forms and back.
What's not so great: Making changes can be an issue since changes are not always carried through in all locations and require checking.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Lots of problems

Very disappointed in TurboTax this year. Most times when I tried to save my return I was told an older version existed and did I want to replace it--rather than simply saving my on-going return. I also had to make several attempts at e-filing. Have not had these problems in the previous 10+ years I have used TurboTax. Will rethink using again next tax season.

This is a great product. I have been using Turbo tax for almost 15 years.
What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: Would like more explanation for state taxes

What's great about it: good calculation
What's not so great: not always go back to the place where I left off, Hard to find the place to include a charitible deduction on property

Still Loyal through several years

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. Each year, it seems to get easier to use. The flow from one area to the next is excellent. The more information buttons are helpful. However, when I wanted to ask a question, it seemed to only offer help from the "community". I don't think I trust just anyone offering advice. It was difficult to separate the "experts" from the others. Never did get an answer to the question.
What's great about it: I especially like having information entered from last year
What's not so great: Seems like there are more "upgrades" that cost money to get support.

I appreciate the transfer of information from one year to the next, the detailed nature of the questions, and all the computations that are done for you. The "common" and "not common" guides are also helpful.
What's great about it: I liked the comprehensive guiding nature of the questions
