Very Easy to Use!

I love the way TurboTax walks you through all of the required entries. It asks me specific questions (i.e. Did you attend school in 2013?) and after I answer, it know exactly where to put all of the information. Plus, if you use Itsdeductible, the program will import all of your charitable contributions. New for me this year was the ability to import my W-2 and 1099-INT forms! One less place to make a data entry error!
What's great about it: Easy to enter the information. Lots of help if you aren't sure what to enter.
What's not so great: None

Year after year ...

Easiest, most reliable way to get taxes done. - stop dunning for registration. Let me say "No" once. - make it clear in the interview which fields have been marked as preliminary. (F8). I shouldn't have to go to forms to see this. - simplify entry for foreign taxes paid.
What's great about it: Easy, minimal entry required
What's not so great: Constantly dunns for registration
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TT getting better each year
on March 18, 2014

I was very happy with TT-Deluxe for 2013 with a few exceptions. 1: When I installed the software, a screen message said that it recognized and transferred information from my 2012 return. But, I doubt this was the case, because the TT-2013 program required that I enter all information from scratch (eg., name, address, employer, financial institution names, etc.) 2: TT program still could make it clearer about where to enter tax exempt interest or dividends. If one isn't careful, one could be misled into entering the information into two different places. 3: The questions TT poses when gathering data for AMT input are difficult to understand or confusing; fortunately, looking at the actual AMT forms for what is required makes it easier to understand.
What's great about it: Having used TT for many years, I can say the program gets better each year, easier to use and understand.
What's not so great: Did not transfer/import previous year's return information.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
