Made It So Easy

I have been using Turbo Tax for 10+ years. I love the way it copies over information from the previous years, allows you to download 1099 information from your financial institutions and shows comparisons from last year. This is a great guide to ensure you don't forget any items you listed the previous year. I also like the fact that I can upload information from Quicken which makes the process of completing my taxes even easier.
What's great about it: Asks all the right questions in order to get your maximum refund.
What's not so great: When you go back through a section your responses to questions are not saved.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Accurate and easy to navigate

I use Turbo Tax since, with my rather complicated return, it is easy to navigate from one section to another with a minimum of hassle, and, just as important, i rely on Turbo Tax for the accuracy of my return. These are the two most important items to me, and TT takes care of them in a complete and successful manner.

TurboTax Rocks!

I have used Turbo Tax for many years although I was initially somewhat skeptical of giving up the old pencil-and-paper/calculator approach I had "always" utilized. Now, you couldn't dissuade me from purchasing Turbo Tax each year. I feel I am receiving the maximum refund to which I am legally entitled by utilizing Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: I really appreciate how TurboTax "walked me through" the process as well as additional prompts and other automatic assis
What's not so great: I didn't note any "cons" as the process moved smoothly from one topic to the next.

Easy and precise

I've used TurboTax for years and depend on it for filing both our federal and state returns. My only complaint is that I have to do a paper IRS Form 575 worksheet, and I don't know why that isn't included in the forms within TurboTax. It's not as if I'm one of the very few federal retirees out there.
What's great about it: Explains all the laws and requirements
What's not so great: I have to do a separate, paper worksheet for retirement income

I've used TURBOTAX for more than twenty years, and consider it to be the best way to do taxes that I am able to find, though I quit looking after the first year I used TURBOTAX. I am ninety years old and the program suits me just fine, and the help is good when you need it.
I needed to pay for elecrtronic transmission of one of my returns, and because I had forgotten the password, spent four hours
trying to arrange for my credit card to pay for the transfer. I finally used the telephone and got things straightened out.

What's great about it: Got my taxes done
What's not so great: HAD TROUBLE BECAUSE I FORGOT MY PASSWORD AND IT TOOK A LOT OF TI ME AND THE HELP WAS EXCELLENT.

Great News,,,REFUND

As usual, Turbo Tax walked me through every step including a State return without any problems. So far, Turbo Tax has been able to assist me on every issue where I was concerned. I will definitely continue to use Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Easy to follow instructions with follow up on questionable entries.
What's not so great: Nothing disliked.

If you just file a simple return, this is the way to go. I would think more complex returns would be just as easy though. The explanations are excellent and we never feel like we've missed anything.
What's great about it: Ease of use.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
