Some good, some confusing

Deriving the Colorado Tax return from the Federal is totally confusing but that may be the result of confusing Colorado tax laws.
What's great about it: Generallyt easy to follow
What's not so great: Charitable deduction section was confusing at first

Awesome Product!

I have been using Turbo Tax for the past eight years and it just keeps getting better. I really like the easy guide which walks me through the topics and creates an emphasis on the topics which apply to me.
I also like using It's Deductible to track all my charitable donations and how easy it is to import my records into Turbo Tax.
Thanks Intuit for making my life easier!
What's great about it: Very easy to use with excellent help topics.

2013 Tax Obligation

We've been using Turbo Tax for several years now and find the program easy to use. I like the ability to import previous year's data and the detail that It's Deductible provides for charitable deductions.
What's great about it: Easy to do, straightforward
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

What's not so great: Updates were slow to register as completed within the program leading to a problem transmitting final return

After ten years of using Turbo Tax, I think the product this year and last, has really improved. There's a lot more every day language so you can be sure you are not wasting time going thru steps that have nothing to do with your situation. I also like the summaries that you do now in between income and deductions. I like the hints from last year too, such as "you had an amount here last year, are you sure you don't have this again?". It actually alerted me to the fact that I hadn't received a Schedule K-1 form yet.

I have used TT for years on quite complex taxes and its always worked well for me and I also do my 3 kids taxes with it as well. Only down side is expensive state add on if you do multiple states.
What's great about it: Imports all prior year info and all financial info, saves me typing and time

Should be able to print a copy to review after the error check is successfully completed. Didn't see this offered until the e-file process was underway. The help or learn more buttons are always well written and easy to understand; not written in accountant!
What's great about it: Well organized screens with input areas clearly marked.
What's not so great: The e-file section was a little confusing.

Taxes made easy, It's Possible!

I love turbo tax and have used it for many years. Each year it gets easier and easier. Everything is transferred from the year before and if you forget something, it will bring it up. That's awesome.It also downloads information from your financial institutions to make input even less time consuming and less tedious. I don't know how I trudged through taxes before, but it really is not a chore anymore. Love this product and recommend it to anyone that will listen. Thank you Turbo Tax for simplifying my life. I appreciate anything that gives me more free time!!
