Always satisfied with Turbo Tax software

We've been using Turbo Tax for over 14 years now. Is always up to date to the last minute and make us feel secure and confident that our tax return will be very,very accurate.
What's great about it: Easy to follow. Really help us to make the most of our refund

2013 Tax Experience

Miscalculated amount I had to exceed (2% of AGI) to be able to claim some miscellaneous deductions. Still did it right, but was confusing. Also confusing was your treatment of a pension I inherited as if it were an IRA and asking me questions about RMDs that weren't appropriate. It took me a while to track down that you were doing it on purpose, but why not say so at the time of entry?
I misplaced a decimal point in entering qualified dividends which produced an unacceptably high entry. Turbotax caught it at the review, but since it was so obviously out of whack, I would have preferred a warning at the time of entry.

What's great about it: Generally convenient except when moving between forms and steps
What's not so great: Can't attach supporting documents. have to print out the whole form and mail it!

Love Turbo Tax

Overall -- very good -- should plan an afternoon or full evening
What's great about it: Step by step - didn't miss a thing
What's not so great: took a while to navigate all the questions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

FONTS

WHY ARE FONTS TOO SMALL. THERE IS PLENTY OF WHITE SPACE ON SCREEN. SOME OF US OVER 50 CAN NOT READ SMALL FONT.

I find Turbo Tax to be rather helpful. I have been using it for years, but this year for some reason my information did not migrate.
What's great about it: It was helpful with the calculations.
What's not so great: It didn't allow me to transition to the state filing with ease.

Money Back ~ Oh Happy Day

For many years I paid an accountancy firm $$$ to process my taxes until a co-worker shared that she used TurboTax. I thought if she could do it, so could I. That was in 1999 and I have been a satisfied Turbo Tax user since. I pick up my software from Costco, pop in the disc, and do my taxes at my leisure. It's fool-proof. No appointments, no lines, no hassle. I love Turbo Tax. It walks you step by step to a completed tax return.
What's great about it: It was so easy. All possible scenarios are presented so even if you forgett something, Turbo Tax has you covered.
What's not so great: Been a Turbo Tax user for 15 years...no cons yet.
