1099-R Teachers Retirement

When filling out the 1099-R for teachers and state retirement system of NC it is very hard understanding if you've filled it out correctly. Even though you fill the on screen 1099 the same as the paper one sent in the mail, it's very difficult understanding if its correct. If you would make this more understandable it would be a great help. This is the part of taxes I struggle with every year. Other than that it's a great product. Keep up the great work and thanks again!
What's great about it: Very simple stright forward process.
What's not so great: 1099-R Teachers AND STATE RETIREMENT SYSTEM OF NC

Accurate but underwhelming

I have used TurboTax for many years and have always found it very user friendly and intuative. However, this year the interview questions seemed to be poorly worded in some places. It also seemed inconsistent in the format of the question. Some interview screens asked the question in the bold title of the screen and other screens had the question buried in the body of the screen.
I went through the whole interview first and then went back into certain sections again that I wanted to check again. I found that when I went in the second time there were additional interview questions that were not asked the first time around, even when I didn't change anything.
I have consistently found the ItsDeductible tool to be useless. Most of my non-cash charitable gifts are to places like Goodwill and Salvation Army. We give full bags of clothes or boxes of household items. I find it unreasonable to go through the ItsDeductible tool and price every single item (and I suspect the IRS would as well). There should be a choice for a bag of clothes at $__ or a box of toys at $__.
What's great about it: Resulted in an accurate tax return
What's not so great: Interview was clunky and inconsistent

What's great about it: user friendly and can finish in a day
What's not so great: efile should be free not just for Federal taxes. It should include state too.

Serious Improvement from last year

Note I have been using TurboTax for 10+ years (and Mac-In-Tax before that) and have been pretty satisfied overall. Last year was the first year I was disappointed with the functionality of "TurboTax Deluxe For Tax Year 2012" when compared to TurboTax versions in years past. I had several issues with the product, and some of the calculations were not clear. I had to review Federal and State tax websites to confirm accuracy. This year I was significantly more satisfied with the product compared to last year (as well as versions in years past). The language in the various tutorials within the "TurboTax Deluxe For Year 2013" was clearer. Resulting calculations made more sense. The reciprocal states rule was more readily identified and described. I did not feel that I had to review my Fed or State Tax websites to confirm the accuracy of TurboTax.
What's great about it: Much smoother than last year. Better experience.
What's not so great: None

Greaat til the end

My 3rd year of Turbo Tax. Really easy.
Had trouble with Turbo Tax website locking up when time came to take my credit card info for E-filing my State return.
It also did not like my nickname choices in the reviews

What's not so great: Could not get State return E-filed
