Finally done

During the review, it pointed out that I needed to add a zip code to Form 2441 with no further explanation. What the heck is Form 2441?
After I figured out what Form 2441 was, I had four different child care places entered with four different zip codes, and had to open each one to figure out which one was missing the zip code.
What's great about it: Breaks everything down well
What's not so great: Sometimes over-explains
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Terrific Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is so user friendly! It explains everything in easy-to-understand language. It is very thorough and accurate, and I feel very safe using this product.
What's great about it: Understandable, easy, thorough, reliable, safe!
What's not so great: Can't think of a thing!

Works good

I did 4 returns for my immediate family. The program steps you through it very nicely. I do not like having to pay additional to file State tax. The state needs to bring in more information from the Fed on dividends and interest. The data is there, just does not transfer.
What's great about it: Fed works very well
What's not so great: State did not transfer information from Fed on Div and Interest

Filing

As in past the Turbo Tax is quick. However, the current version has bugs in it that need addressing. There is a constant sales pitch to buy up to the Premier version and you can get caught in a loop. Also, Sch E Royalties repeatedly shows as an error even though you've correctly entered the information. Can be frustrating to get around it.
What's great about it: fast
What's not so great: constant sales pitch; error in system

TurboTax has been part of our families annual get together for many years. It is a crucial and amazing experience every year! We find the walkthroughs very easy and very concise. I cannot imagine another way of filing my taxes!
What's great about it: Very simple guide and easy walkthrough.
What's not so great: None that I can think of!

Finally Got Through!

I had a bit of trouble with the sale of stock form! Because I didn't know the purchase price and it wouldn't accept any of my answers. Took an extra day or two to get it to run smoothly.
What's great about it: minimum of writing!
What's not so great: A lot of forms, but that's the gov't.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
