Makes a big job easy!

We've been using Turbo Tax for a number of years. The program is so simple - creative genius came up with the program. It makes a huge dreaded job painless and fast. Each year I dread sitting down to prepare our taxes, but I am amazed how easy and painless it is. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time - which is how Turbo Tax walks you through each category! Love it!
What's great about it: Easy prompts, walks you through the entire process.
What's not so great: Nothing.

Worse experience ever

I've used Turbotax for at least 10 years and this was the worse experience ever. Why change a good thing? It was difficult to get back to where I left off and electronic filing was nightmare. The system kept telling me there was an update that needed to be downloaded before it would validate my filing. Yet, when I followed the directions, it kept telling me no update was available. I had to close and restart the program a couple of times before it finally filed electronically. Of course, this was after I paid for the state filing. I'm not sure if all went through, will know later but I will be looking for another tax software next year.

I've received a K-1 for all the years I've used this service...you should have asked if I rcvd any before you got into the business owner section...I knew enough to do a search (for k-1) before I got too far into it.

Great for anyone wanting to save money and maximize their return. Ideal for personal filing and small business owners. Easy to navigate tabs for each section, and flags for sections to revisit later. Had issues trying to get to remove the "re-payed home buyer credit", section never used previously, but finally updated after 4 attempts. TurboTax was able to configure my business being dissolved also.
What's great about it: Transfered info from last year, Easy to use/navigate, Able to flag sections to return
What's not so great: Difficult to change updated info in certain sections
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
