Turbotax 2013

Because the program couldn't find my return from 2012 I had to enter in all the information again. Not that it's that hard, but I would have like the Turbotax feature where it compares previous years tax data with the current years data so you can see a bit of comparison. I am left with the feeling I may have missed something this year that we included last year.
What's great about it: I liked how it asked the questions. They were easy to understand.
What's not so great: The program could't find my 2012 filing data.

As painless as possible!

It is about as effortless as tax preparation can be. I finished in the morning and had time to go fishing in the afternoon. The e-filing of both state and federal simplified the process. This saved me at least a day of printing multiple copies and packaging the returns for mailing.
What's great about it: Very straightforward process with great help

Great Assest

This is the 7th year of using Turbo Tax. I can't think of ever going back to a CPA to do our taxes. This method is fast, easy to follow and tells you everything you need for maximum refunds or minimal payment.
What's great about it: Fast, easy to follow directions.

Generally have used for many years due to ease of rolling forward data. Don't like State return pricing. For 2nd year would not recognize Adobe PDF Reader on our computer so could not print directly from program. Will probably not use next year for these reasons.
What's great about it: Easy to roll forward data from year to year
What's not so great: Does not recognize Adobe PDF Reader on our PC for 2nd year

State not included

I bought Deluxe on-line. State was not included. In past years, I bought the disc from local stores and state was included. I am not very happy about that !

Another easy year

I've been using TurboTax for years and it continues to make my tax filing (relatively) quick and easy. The ability to pre-populate this year's return with information from last year saves me typing and potential errors. The ability to import my W2s and investment data does the same. The ability to import from ItsDeductible saves me all kinds of hassle since we keep ItsDeductible up-to-date all year long as we make charitable contributions.
Bottom line, I've gotten into a routine with TurboTax and ItsDeductible over the years knowing what preparation I need to do and what documents I need to gather throughout the year. So now when I sit down to do my federal taxes, it's just about as painless as I imagine is possible.
What's great about it: TurboTax covers all my needs including investments
What's not so great: Nothing really
