What's great about it: very easy to use and very helpful
What's not so great: my returns was basic, so could not find any con

I have used Turbo Tax for 10 years + and I have never had any complaints. I will continue using it as long as I file taxes. Excellent product.

TurboTax is Awesome!

This year's program is so much easier to understand & follow. Downloading the previous tax year makes things faster & easier to process. I would definitely recommend this program to family & friends.
What's great about it: User friendly, much easier than previous versions.
What's not so great: No complaints here.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Super time and/or money saver

This is an amazing tool. I used to take a few days to do what TurboTax does in a few hours and in addition it helps prompt me about things I might miss. Several decades ago, I paid part of my way through engineering school doing income taxes. If TurboTax had been available, I would not have had many clients.
What's great about it: Great leader through the process
What's not so great: Maybe should give a short tutorial on what the process is going to do so people do not get worried.

Mostly great, as usual

Progress through Federal return was perfect, as in the past. Good recommendations when there were options. Then, some kind of software issue (?) with the transfer to state return - at first the return wasn't populated with any information from federal return, didn't ask all the questions, but jumped to later sections of the return, couldn't get the return to populate. Then, the program crashed and when I reopened it, the return was blank. I closed down the return completely and then reopened. the state return was populated and I flowed through the process smoothly after that.
What's great about it: simple easy to follow instructions, clear explanations
What's not so great: transfer to state return wasn't smooth; crashed once

VERY USEFULL UNDER 125,000

WHILE THE PROGRAM IS GREAT AT MATH IT IS TEDIOUS TO ENTER DATA USING THE STEP BY STEP METHOD. I FIND IT EASER TO DO MOST RETURNS BY HAND WITH OUT THE LAYERS OF WORK SHEETS AND LINKS NESSESARY FOR ACCURACY
What's great about it: QUICK ZOOM FEATURE ALLOWS STREAMLINED DATA ENTERY
What's not so great: IT WORKS BEST IF THE FILER CAN & HAS PREPARED BY HAND

Can't Live Without You!

Excellent software. I have been using it for years, ever since started using computers. Can't think of any cons. I am working abroad right now and this is priceless for doing taxes from abroad.

a lot of problems this year update got stuck and could not do any taxed for 4 days. can't read the info in the light blue boxes, and tried to send taxed to irs and the file became corrupted and did not transmit and I had to start all over. product was not good this year. I have been using this product for the last 6 years. maybe i'll try something else next year.
What's not so great: light blue box with white writing in it =can't see what it says
