Simple and straight forward

What a wake up call this first time Turbo Tax experience was. I cannot believe the cost and time savings for using a tax prep person, when compared to doing this myself using Turbo Tax. If you're honest and have no millions to declare, this is a really user friendly way to process tax returns. Very cool! Thanks!

Turbo Tax combined with the year around availability of It's Deductible makes for doing taxes a breeze. Been using Turbo Tax for over ten (10+) years. There's a reason!
What's great about it: Doing all the taxes on an itemized deduction form in One Day

I am single payer with that is eligible for standard deduction.
detail of reporting categories makes it simple to complete return with confidence. Allowing it to bring in prior year's data is a great check to make sure that you have included everything.
Don't know how this could be any more simple.. This is a great product.

What's great about it: Detail questions allow filing quickly with confidence that filing is correct
What's not so great: Section on RMD reporting Re: 1099 R is confusing regarding reporting of monthly Pension amounts.

Hate 2013 Mississippi Non-resident tax return

2012 Nonresident MS state tax software worked correctly. It also transferred data correctly from federal tax return.
2013 Nonresident MS state tax is completely messed up. Fire the software team or individual who did the programming.
The 2013 MS tax software does not transfer data correctly from federal tax. It includes the dividend income in MS income when it shouldn't. Capital gains and losses are not transferred and it's a pain to enter them on MS tax return. It also creates multiple B-Income and Withholding forms which are not needed and forces you to enter data into them.
Go back to the way it was done in 2012 MS nonresident tax return.
