Program Porameters

The program needs to information used on other computers and downloads, but it does not. The info had to be re typed in every time what a waste.
What's great about it: Easy with the right info,
What's not so great: I set up an account years ago but retreiving old info was a pain in the rear!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Mediocre Experience

Right off the bat I had a problem. I couldn't copy information from my last return. That was one of your selling points, right? I ran into that any time I was offered the opportunity to copy something.
I was fine with this program once I got going until I got to the review stages. I kept being returned to a section regarding a charitable contribution. There was no explanation. I redid the contribution twice. I ended up cancelling it. So, I lost money there. It was a small amount, so I decided to lose it than to continue trying to figure out what was happening.
Right before I filed, I received a message saying more information was needed. It brought me to line 10 of my W2. It wanted more information. Line 10 is blank. no matter what I did, it kept bringing me back to it. I had to go all the way back to the beginning and re-enter nothing.
When closing out, it asked if I wanted to pay for turbot tax using my credit card number or deducting from my refund. I had already give my cc number before I downloaded the software. I prefer to have it deducted from the refund so I selected that. I'm assuming that there won't be a charge on my credit card. If there is, there shouldn't be a deduction from my refund.
What's great about it: Information was clearly stated. Everything was easy to understand.
What's not so great: Tax reviews issues were not clearly stated.

When using the step-by-step procedure it should be made easy to "put the next step aside" for later handling, and then have Turbotax jump to the step just following the step put aside. It should then be equally easy for the user to access a listing of all "steps" previously put aside, to allow the user to select which to go to "now".

Simple and quick process for filing tax returns.
What's great about it: Quick and Simple to file
What's not so great: Did not make enough money to get a big refund!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

This stinks. I have e-Filed in years past. It said check for update. I checked it was up to date. It then said to file snail mail.

I have used Turbo Tax almost every year in the past.
Last year I tried another tax software program, by far Turbo Tax is the easiest I have found even though it is a few dollars more than the other brand I will continue using it each year.
