I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and have recommended to others because of the straight forward way it deals with accumulating information, processing that information and reporting same. The checks are reassuring and the final review is exactly that.
I see no reason not to continue Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Straight forward,easy to understand, doesn't have to be done in one sitting
What's not so great: no significant cons

Easy to work through

We have a reasonably complex return with a lot of deductions, credits, etc. using TurboTax is fairly easy, just requiring a work through the various steps and forms.

If someone wants to get through taxes and not have to sit and wait for the person in front of you to finish this is for you. I can't say doing your taxes are fun but TurboTax makes doing taxes complete and accurate and satisfying when I finish !!!
What's great about it: Everything I needed was covered and of course some that didn't apply to me but that's okay !
What's not so great: Can't thing of anything I did not like about the processs, Thanks.

There should be a question/option to skip all deductions when you know you'll take the standard deduction.
Crucial for me: There should be a reviewable and printable form that you can use to crosscheck Sch B and D items -- a summary.of all the items entered for these forms. I have to do my own to cross check on my (former) Excel Tax sheets. For my fee, I should have better tracking to make sure I haven't made a mistake in data entry
What's great about it: systematic
What's not so great: needs a few short cuts and improvements

TurboTax 2013 is extremely easy to use. It walks you through the return in a friendly manner, suggests things like filing status and gives you an opportunity to accept or reject. It constantly looks for areas where mistakes might be made and gently leads you back if errors are detected.
I like that each version is able to pull data from previous versions. This saves a lot of time for taxpayers whose situation does not change too much from year to year.
What's great about it: Presents common income and deduction situations for easy entry.
What's not so great: This is obviously a large program. It slows down my system

I think some of the questions regarding retirement income, etc. could be better worded or better explanations.
What's great about it: User Friendly - help from others
What's not so great: I had a lot more complex issues to deal with this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used TurboTax for probably a decade now. Year after year it is one of the best investments I can make to make sure my tax papers are filed completely, safely, and accurately. TurboTax consistently gives me a full refund. Thank you, Intuit.
